LIFE IS AN EXTRAORDINARY JOURNEY
There is no figuring it out! The human experience is full of love, laughter and beauty as well as tragedy and pain. My story began with the loss of my husband and one thing I believe to be true, whether it be from my yoga teaching or work as a celebrant, is that love is the thread that connects us all.
My name is Kay Manby
I’m a yoga teacher and celebrant based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. I always loved movement and music, little did I know that combining the two would lead me to a place of deep healing.
I took up yoga properly in my sixties. I started watching it online when my husband had cancer and found it helpful to practice in the morning before I went to work. When he died I took it up seriously and my inspirational teacher and mentor, Amanda Latchmore, encouraged me to become a yoga teacher.
I love to share yoga
Training to become a teacher with Yogacampus enabled me to share my toolkit and love of this ancient and powerful practice. I now work as a mentor for new yoga teachers who are training with Yogacampus.
As a Celebrant
I fell in love with love at my daughter’s celebrant led wedding in Australia. I loved how the ceremony was so personal and not at all traditional. I trained to become a celebrant and love to witness love being celebrated in it’s many forms. It is an honour and a privilege to do this ‘work’.
